Maggie Grace, born Margaret Grace Denig on the 21st of September, 1983 in Worthington Ohio, is an American actor. Maggie Grace is most well-known for her role as Shannon Rutherford and Kim Mills as well on ABC's Lost television show. The couple had separated and she relocated with her mother into Los Angeles. They were struggling to survive at the time she landed her first part in the acting world in the film Rachel's Room's main character. In 2002, she was nominated for a Young Artist Award with her character as a 15 year old murder victim Martha Moxley. Grace played Shannon Rutherford on the Lost TV show in 2004. She was the main protagonist for two seasons and also won the Screen Actors Guild Award. Leaving the series Grace was keen to work on film more frequently, having starred opposite Tom Welling in The Fog in 2005. In addition, she appeared in Suburban Girl The Jane Austen Book Club (both 2007) and also starred alongside Liam Neeson as Kim Mills in Taken in 2008. Taken 2 (2012), Taken 3 2014 and Taken 4 (2014) are her re-casts of roles. Grace played Shannon again in Lost's finale and in two additional episodes. Grace appeared in Californication's 6th season which ran between 2013 and 2014. She plays Faith who's a star-gazer and the girl in the group. Hank Moody, played by David Duchovny, falls for her. Gyllenhaal is a part of the family and is the elder cousin of Jake Gyllenhaal. Her first appearances were in the films of her father as an adolescent. With her brother, she appeared in Donnie Darko (2000). The next film she appeared in was Adaptation Confessions of a Dangerous Mind which was released in 2002 as well as Mona Lisa Smile (2003). Gyllenhaal was nominated to win the Golden Globe Award in both the action drama Sherrybaby (2005) as well as the romantic comedy Secretary (2002). The two movies were critically acclaimed. In the wake of several successful commercial films in 2006, including World Trade Center she received greater recognition for her performance as Rachel Dawes in the superhero film The Dark Knight (2008).
